Sunday is the gateway to the Osa Peninsula and belongs to the Osa Conservation Area a biological corridor protected by the government, including the National Park Marino Ballena whale and dolphin as a popular destination.

To get to Sunday you can drive from San Jose to San Isidro in the Cordillera de Talamanca or rectum can be reached via the coastal road from Quepos beyond the city of Hacienda Baru.

Horseback riding can also be arranged to Nauyaca waterfalls nearby, or you can visit the Marino Ballena National Park, home to a number of marine species such as turtles and whales come to mate and nest season.
